Audience seating opens 15 minutes before the competition starts.
Dancer Check-In & Awards

All dancers will sign in at the Merchandise Table to receive their medal.

We recommend signing in upon arrival for their performance.

Pins will be awarded on stage – we highly recommend attaching them to your main medal.
Additional Information

Please be mindful of your items.

Keep your costumes/pieces together.

Don't take valuables back stage.

Keep your bags closed.

Come with your hair and makeup done.

No Food in the dressing rooms.

Dancers only backstage. Teachers are are doing their best to prepare dancers before they perform. Distractions are not helpful.

Dancers are expected to stay for the award session after their performance.

KCDS dancers please wear your competition team jacket/KCDS competition wear over your costume, as well as during the awards session.

Videos and pictures will be uploaded into your dance bug account 72 hours after the competition has taken place.

Photography and videography during performances is prohibited. There is chance of disqualification for taking pictures/videos - please don't do it.
PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE TIME LISTED BELOW.
Competitions can run early - if so we'll be ready.

Q & A
Q: Do we have to stay the whole time
A: Our Dancers do need to be there for their competition time and their awards / adjudication.
Q: Can we come and go?
A: You might be able to do that. Please watch the timing. It is best to not rush and have time for your Dancer to arrive relaxed and ready to take part in the competition experience.
Q: If we don't like our competition day / time can we have it changed.
A: No we don't have any control over the schedule.
Q: Do we need to come back on Friday over all awards 13+ and the Emerald Cup Showdown.
A: You should come back if you can. If your group wins an overall award it's so wonderful to be there to collect it. With other competitions we often have to leave to get home (on the ferry or drive down the island) so when the opportunity to be there for overalls presents it's self - it's so fun to be a part of it.
Q: How do we know if our class is in the 7:30 Emerald Cup Showdown Performance?
A: If your group is part of the Emerald Cup we will let you know via email once the over all awards are announced. Please be ready to come an perform if that is the case.
